Does your GG power led blink on low battery with the McWill LCD

I'm trying to figure out why my GG power light doesn't blink with low power.

I've been looking at this schem:

So the led is controlled by the IC. According to the McWill you remove R30. Would that be the cause of the issue?

 

I just answered my own question. I soldered a 3.32K resistor in spot R30 and I got the low power blinking back.

I did some testing with my bench top. With a 3.32K the led turns on at 5.6V. The game gear shuts down between 5.48V-5.5V. I also tried a 2.2K resistor which made the blinking happen over 7.2V So 3K is the magic number. It also pulls .690A sitting on the start up screen of the everdrive.

Help me do a sanity check. The instructions say this for Step 8 on the McWill doc.

Replace R24 with R30 and replace R30 with 200 Ohm resistor (1x enclosed)

I removed R30 like it said? Looks like I found a bug!
