Someone offered me a Nintendo Dolphin USB Adapter GCP-2000. As I'm pretty new into GC-Dev I have only less knowledge about this device.

I only know it plugs into the GameCube Memory Card port and the other side plugs into a Computer's USB port.

But what can I do with it? Backup Memory Cards like it works with the EMS USB Memory Adapter? Does it work on a retail Gamecube or Wii? Do I need a bootdisc to use it?

Would be happy about some answers, thank you

    You mean USB2EXI?

The EXI bus on the GC is used for memory card and other peripherals/functions besides saving. USB2EXI needs to be supported by your code and it can have such uses such as taking a screen shot for example.

In practice, the EXI bus has been used for various accessories, including the microphone that came bundled with Odama.

Also worth noting is that these things are quite common and usually cheap as chips (as they aren't that useful).

    oh what a pity :(

I hoped that I could use it to create virtual memory cards on PC and copy files between a real memory card and the USB Adapter or similar.
