Loads of new games, all crap games :-( Still in the auction crates. What to do with them? I can't see lugging around 15 copies of every wrestling game they made for the rest of my life....
Targeted sales seems to be the usual answer for leftover stock from bankrupt companies. Obviously the creditors had no interest in putting that labor in, but they were also at a disadvantage in that they didn't really know about games. On the subject of the wrestling games in particular, do any of them feature recently retired (or deceased) characters that are of interest? Maybe some of them need an autograph on the case label to make them collectible? The point is that somebody out there could be convinced to want one of those games, if presented in the right way. The same goes for any other licensed property. Of course, that's assuming you're willing to put in the labor needed to get the stuff into marketable hands. If not, then you need to cull the collection and throw out what doesn't have any potential value like that. Otherwise it turns into a dead weight. By way of irony, the best way to dispose of what you don't want is maybe to hold an auction of your own. Keep what you want, make the problem of sorting and reselling someone else's.
Just sell the crap games. Even sealed Super Wrestlemania is never going to be worth anything. Sure your breaking up a historic set but its just retail games. Maybe mark on ebay that they came from acclaim directly and you may get a bit more. OR: Get 50 posts and sell here in the marketplace. Nostalgia + retro game collectors + wrestling game fans = sales. http://wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi? If wrestling doesn't interest you, you can have my account to sell from.
