there's alot of star wars\pope ''humour'' on the internet, any ''good'' ones? :danceor maybe even: Off-topic: Yeah, i start a thread and already make it going off-topic, class! Just to make this thread more interesting (that's also why i puted jessica alba here ), i found this while searching the web: http://www.bloggerheads.com/star_wars/images/star_wars_dusk_dawn.jpg doesn't he looks like retro? :smt1062
So did you mean, "Any inspired ones with decent quality?", or just "Any ones that aren't a simple cut and paste job of Pope Benedict's face onto Emperor Palpatine's?" Either way, the internet sometimes thinks it's funnier than it really is. But the From Dusk 'Till Dawn/Starwars mix was pretty funny, although they should have replaced Princess Leia's face with the girl's from the movie (can't remember the name/actress). And while Sin City was an amazing movie, I think Jessica Alba's character had to be the most disturbing one in the entire film...
the sickest thing when he was a child he was a member of the Hitler Youth or as i say it Hitler Jugend(oh well that is not his fault) well congrats to the people who got him in now , so let us hope now he will only be a pope for some years and be sucked up by the dark side of the force since i don´t like him. and personally i think he is scary as hell , and what of i have heard he is a very rightwinged conservative person. so they got a hardcore pope and gays and lesbians and bisexual are at his watching eyes sorry i can´t say in any other way since he scares the living shit out of me. and don´t flame me "although i am asking for it" and that is what i feel .
The Internet does that to almost everything. I think Somethingawful.com sums it up pretty well; Sad, but true.
a mix of the two, maybe. The question was if there's any good things, you get the choice. Three rules: Laugh if you think it's funny, smile if you think it's stupid, let people react how they want if you don't like it. Can i have an Amen here? agree with you there, but i might add she's very sexy too! i think she's more attractive with blond hair (i don't have any obession for blondes, but she's just cutier with this color). :smt045
WolverineDK, normally, I'm pretty tolerant about your tirades, but I think this time it's safe to say you have no clue what you're talking about. The Hitler Youth thing was blown out of proportion by the media, but one thing they really don't focus on a while lot was that it was MANDATORY for young German males - regardless of if you agreed with it or not (and if you learned much about Nazi Germany, it was a safe assumption that being the voice of dissent was not a good way to keep living). And for someone who is quick to speak up about tolerance about other lifestyles, you don't seem to have much room in your worldview for other religions - did it possibly occur to you that organizations like religions thousands of years old maybe don't nessecarily follow what the rest of the world currently says is right or wrong, and that they have had hundreds of years to develop reasoning behind why they believe they way they do? Furthermore, did you know that popes are elected for life? So are really wishing death upon someone ("so let us hope now he will only be a pope for some years and be sucked up by the dark side of the force since i don´t like him.") because they have different beliefs as you? Tolerance works both ways, you know. I didn't mean for this to be such a long speal, but there was plenty in the news (and I am a rabit online follower of world news) from various journalists and newspapers who had the hubris to post special editiorials on what the church needed to do to be with the times, and I just thought it ridiculous. Closing up, this isn't supposed to be a religious discussion, and I hope it won't turn into one; my whole point was misinformation and personal hubris; sure, we all have ideas about how things out to work, but is it really our place to try and speak authoritavely on them? ANYWAYS: Mr. Casual and cahaz, I'm sorry if I gave off the impression that I was offended by the pictures; I was not at all, just merely irritated with the lack of creativity. I've seen numerous Photoshops and animations since the election, all of which follow the recurring theme of the Palpatine-Benedict comparison. Is this the best that the pundits of the internet can do? A similar example would be the Matrix: parodied in numerous movies, what is the scene that is ALWAYS the subject of the parody? That's right, the scene of Neo bending backwards and dodging bullets. My indignation mainly stems from the thought that as a culture, is this the best we can do? Are we so unintelligent that this is all we can find worthy of parody, or are we too lazy to look further? THAT was my initial point, I apologize if I alluded to something greater, or seemed like a humorless tightass with his panties in a twist. And yes, I agree: Jessica Alba looks a lot better as a blonde.
Greatsaintlouis: as i said i knew it was MANDATORY i just did not know how to say it(i did not know the english word for it) and that is why i said it was not his fault. but anyway yes i AM very tolerant against all people no doubt about that. but still he scares the living shit out of me. and no it is not because he is a catholic , hell come on i am raised up in a protestant family why should i go mad at catholics ? Because my neighbour is a catholic ?. and second of all i am not a christian but why should i hate christians when at least two of my friends are christians ? because i don´t like the new pope does not mean i hate catholics or any other christian society.
Kinda weird for them to elect a pope that's like 78 years old... and he does seem to resemble Nosferatu...
Shoulda seen channel 4... Q. something about somehting A. "Well he wont be around for long prob 2 or 3 years..." LMAO i love John Snow....
indeed he does even in the roleplaying sense but i hope the moderators understand i am not dissing anyone , other than i am not fond of the pope/ i don´t like the pope. and again those people i hate has nothing to do with their religion. It has something to do with they have hurt me bigtime in the past and one of them was a violent teacher. (that sadistic son of a bitch.)
