hi guys, on sunday i drove with my bicycle from home to my parents. it was nice weather sunny warm ideal. came down a small hill little dusty but ok hmm turned out it was a very slidy dust i got too much speed did a little jump and crashed over my front tyre on the head, shoulder and fingers. man that could have killed me my luck was very fast did some people check on me and call in the emergency. got transported into hospital and checked via x-ray and ultra sound and it turned out nothing was broke only skin shaped of and bruises on the arm and shoulders, oh and i do miss some of my fingerprints  so next time you drive down a hill wear a helmet :fresh: gotta postpone my 3do m2 sales for at least a week since iam not so much able to package things or something like that
Holy Crap Zappenduster!!! I'm glad to hear you're ok and at least nothing is broken. Good luck healing up.
thx did go better then i thougt in the first 20millisecounds off the flight =) gives me at least 2 weeks home ordered by the doctor so i can check on stuff i had long pushed away and i need to find a new front tyre damn someone told me those 3 star things are unbreakable i clipped one off the 3 spikes :rambo: this was it btw. only i had other tyres but iam looking already for new ones on ebay
damn, sounds awful! i know, i know wearing a helmet is pretty much low...i'm skateboarding, so i know exactly what you're talking about glad to hear you're ok, get well soon! gute besserung
Ow! Hey, since your fingerprints are missing it's bank robbing time! Make sure to take plenty of potions for a speedy recovery!
reminds me of the time that i almost broke my neck when i was horseriding, and landed on it after a jump. Get well soon!
good reminding next monday i wanted to start horseriding again after pausing for around 10 year can pretty much scrap that or ill settle for a nice pony  hmm was already speeding through ebay auctions for helmets  and tyres when i got a call from work where they want to transfer me for 2 months into another city when i get healed fast enough (was hoping for that exchange but i got canceld some weeks ago cause they couldnt let someone go from my part of the company) man now i need some ultra mega hyper speed healing potions and must repair my laptop instead of buying bike parts
I did the same thing about 5 years ago. I was going pretty fast, but luckily had my helmet on. The gal behind me almost had a heart attack. It hurt, but I think I was okay. I just got a bike after being on foot for 5 months after the move. Gotta get a helmet though... none my size around here.
If you going to be going anything steep/fast then always go for a full face lid. My mate didn't and mashed her face badly - her teeth came thro her bottom lip. I didn't fancy her after that.
I disagree with wearing a helmet ;-) Years ago I used to cycle from very close to were I live into London everyday (about 13miles one way) My mum used to nag that I should wear my crash helmet One day I thought I would put it on just to keep the peace Off I went......car pulled across in front of me, hit the brakes, hit a drain, over the handlebars. Put my arms up to stop my crash helmet hitting the ground and getting all scratched etc (so I wouldn`t get nagged when I got back) and broke my arm
a colleague (is that the word for people working together?) died because he was wearing a helmet. it was no cheap crap, a real good one because he was riding his bike very often and bought a good one. so when he crashed, the helmet broke in the middle, forming a long and sharp thorn out of the plastic, which rammed into his brain...
no offence to your friend, but if the force was sufficient to break the helmet, he would have snapped his neck even without it, and it could have been anything else ramming into his brains.
Biking = danger! Always wear a helmet! A cousine of mine catched a hole in the road and fell forward on its shoulder, breaking some bones!
is planned but looks like when iam done with regeneration i will be transfered to another city for 2 months after that i repair the bike and buy the helmet =) but helmet wont save your bones in the shoulder :noooo: but it would have saved part of my face from beeing slided over the ground
I actually had a biking injury myself. My jaw dragged for 2-3 meters on the ground, and i broke some tooth-bits from the impact (thank god not any frontal teeth). My jaw was displaced to the right from the force of the drag (now it should be fine, i think!) but i still have a visible scar under my chin.
