I have just signed up for a nice new fast internet service but have realised I have a 100GB cap which I will go through pretty quickly.

Can anyone recommend a decent mointoring software to monitor how much I use and notify me when I am going near my limit. I will only be using one laptop to connect to that connection.

Want to see how quick I will burn through the 100GB and if it is worth me changing to a different service without a cap.

    Cheers guys

I use ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter which is fine for monitoring but i'm not sure if it does anything else like alerting you when at your limit...etc as i've not messed about in its setting.

It is Fibre - FTTH - 30MB line, and here you dont get a choice of ISP, there are two telecom providers, Etisalat and Du and its based on your apartment what you get.

I am actually lucky, most places (incl my old apartment) are limited to 1-2MB (still around 50 GBP a month) at least I get a choice of a fast connection, even if it is paying over the odds to the rest of the world...

So your not in the UK? Might want to change your profile and stop quoting prices in pounds its rather confusing.

Based in the UAE, but from the UK and when buying/selling its always from the UK so thats why I have kept my profile as UK.

And is 699AED or around 100GBP easier to understand when comparing prices for most people?

Anyway all over am on a different plan, thanks guys for the input on a download monitor!
