    Hey there,

just out of curiosity Id like to know, how does one aquire dozens of "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" SEGA MegaDrive cartridges with a "Not For Resale" sticker on it these days ?
Maybe garage sales or beeing a direct "partner" of Sega, Sony or Nintendo...where would I need to look ?
Except for the ebay auction itself. :p

Where do these suddenly show up in such "big" numbers ? Especially old SEGA stuff. Are there still secret cellars filled with old NFR cartridges out there ?

I might understand how you can get hands on todays Nintendo DS NFR cartridges, but the good old stuff ?

    Any answer is welcome.

I would imagine some get found in old boxes of stuff that has been put away for a few years, others will have been sitting on them (with the hope to sell in the future or for their collection) or forgot they had them.

I dont think its too common these days to find a full box of "Not for Resale" carts unless an old shop that used to sell games has had a clear out etc. maybe you will find the odd 1 or 2.

However with that being said, you never know and some people do find some pretty rare stuff that has been hidden away or forgotten about, one of the biggest problems you will find is that the people who collect these things are constantly on the lookout and if you dont have the right connections its most likely you wont even be offered these initially

    good luck on your hunt

Sega often marked their pack ins NFR here in the us. Some of the most common are NFR nor often than not. Nintendo usually marked their store kiosk demos as NFR. Same label different company's use them for different things
