Well, I preordered Dragon Age II BioWare Signature Edition from Best Buy, the store located in Louisville, Kentucky. I go to pick it up today on the release date, and they tell me that they didn't get it district wide. So, I basically got an "Oh well, nothing you can do" when I went to pick up my game. Anyone else have similar experiences? Seriously, this is what I get for not supporting piracy of PC games. Way to persuade customers to not pirate, you're doing it RIGHT!
I don't understand why if you'd preordered it at a specific store a copy wasn't sent for you. Seems to remove the whole point of preordering. Do they not require a deposit?
They do, I paid money down on it. Anyways, the whole thing is taken care of. After several calls the Corporate, and to the manager, I'm getting my money back plus a 15 dollar gift certificate. I was relayed information by the Best Buy manager that Gamestop has some copies of the Signature Edition available to purchase online still, so I went that route. The issue left was there were two DLC that the code prints out on a receipt at the store, so I explain my situation to a guy at the gamestop I usually frequent, and he just gets a code for me and gives it to me over the phone. I used overnight shipping, so hopefully I'll have my game tomorrow or the next day. Moral of the story, if you raise hell over them screwing you, they give you money. Steam never had the signature edition, so I didn't go with Steam.
I was just reading how the game uses the same dungeon over and over, and is a shadow of the first game.
