I bought two bootleg Dragon Ball Z Gameboy bootlegs hopeing for one to be the fighting bootleg but instead got two translations one being a Chinese translation of Dragon Ball Z: Goku Hishōden and the other an English translation of Dragon Ball Z: Goku Gekitōden obviously were gonna be talking more about the English one.

    Dragon Ball Z 2 Gokou
Is a bootleg translation of the game Dragon Ball Z: Goku Gekitōden which only saw an official Japanese release

When booted up the scrolling text is the same as whats read on the back of the box with a few spelling corections and new errors.

Is this more of an action game of RPG?

Very cool regardless. Excellent pick up!

The game is kinda real time strategy so both you and your opponent move af the same time after so long you each choose an action to do I've played the Japanese one because I've already had a pirated copy of the game. I plan on playing this version but havnt gotten past the opening dialogs yet because I wanted to share it here

Yeah i've played the Japanese version too of this game, and i'd notice on the title screen it says "Bandai 2001" instead of the original copyright "Toei Animation 1992-1993" (I believe) so any chances this translation came out back in 2001?

Its very possible since the date is also on the back of the box and on the sticker over the cartridge screw.

I played this exact translated game as a kid! Loved it! I can not find this specific translation anywhere, nor can i find any other translated rom for this game. You would be doing me a huge favour if you could dump this game so that this rom can be available. Also where did you order this game from?

I could probably dump this if you're willing to lend it to me - let me know if you're interested.

i would love to get it dumped so that i could play the rom. We would have to get hold of kyleglor so that we could lend the game cart. Unless kyleglor can dump it for us?

I actually would love to dump this but id like to do a release of it myself since its one of my only unique carts that are undumped, the other being my translated leaf green ( which has copy protection unfortunatly ) but i dont have a way of dumping gb games.

Please dump this game. Ive done some research and ive found this page. looks really simple. Its called The Gameboy Transferer 2, only thing is it uses a parralel port which is only on older pc's and the firmware is only compatible with windows xp or older. If you can get hold of a old pc with win xp then you good to go. Heres the link for The Gameboy Transferer 2:

    http://digiex.net/guides-reviews/co...eboy-colour-save-games-retail-cartridges.html

There are other alternatives to dumping gameboy games but they seem complex, although those ways work on windows 7 and connects via USB. Just do some research and see whats available.

If you want to dump it yourself I'd recommend a Smartboy, that's what I have - http://www.smartboycart.com/
Unlike the Transferer 2 it uses USB and works on modern versions of Windows so you can use it with just about any PC.
