I have a Dragon Quest TV console http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenshin_Dragon_Quest:_Yomigaerishi_Densetsu_no_Ken, released in Japan that was plugged into a UK socket using a UK PSP Charger. Of course, it blew something and now the box doesn't work. I opened it up and had a quick look, and nothing appears to have blown. Could it possibly be the fuse? Any help would be appreciated.
Yeh, problem is, it can run on batterys, which also don't work(did before). Also, the console accepts 110v, and the psp charger is 220v.
Was the power adapter plugged into the console's AV socket by accident? These kinds of adapters step down the power, console has no way of knowing what the wall socket uses.
No, definitely not. It was plugged into the AC socket for sure. I didn't notice that the PSP charger was 100 - 240v. So, if I were to try a different AC adapter, do you think it would work? EDIT: i have this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Masterplug-MVA1200-1200mA-Multi-Voltage-Adaptor/dp/B0083S19YW I have no idea if this will work though. EDIT: Nevermind! It's working now! This masterplug I have works fine. Thanks for your help!
