Hey there knowledge holders, I recently purchased a Dreamcast on eBay from a seller purely because he had a copy of Evolution 2 Far off Promise in the listing and settled out of eBay for £40 (good find I think) anyway, when the Dreamcast got here, the box had what looked like a Japanese price sticker on the box even though it's clearly a PAL unit and more interestingly, had Dream On 4 in the box in a normal CD case rather than the slim cases they shipped with on the front of ODM. Is this Dreamcast a later model with an updated disc? I clearly remember getting a DC in 2001 brand new with Dream On 1 and considered this to be an obvious late machine so what's this all about if anyone knows?
Are you sure it's DreamOn 4, and not DreamOn Collection? The latter got released in three volumes; 2,3 and 4. There is no DreamOn Collection 1 btw. The DreamOn Collection discs originally came in a jewel case sized box, instead of a 'singles / EP' case.
Ah yeah that's what I meant sorry, Yeah it's Dream On Collection 4, is that a later DC? I've only ever seen them with Collection 1?
Wow, I've had the Dreamcast since launch and only found out about the Dream On Collection 2 disc last year so I'm shocked to see there is a Dream On Collection 3 & 4. lol Does anyone know what's on them? Spot on. The launch consoles come with Dream On Volume 1 so guess you could call that the unofficial Dream On Collection 1. So Dream On Collection 4 is from 2001 consoles do we reckon? I have a brand new Big Ben Interactive 'Ultimate Dreamcast console' that I'm pretty sure has Collection 1 with Dream Key 3....
put your disc in your pc and open it, you should see some text files with a manufacture date Dream On Collection 2 is dated 31/1/2000
