Dreamcast Action replay VMU saves from Dream explorer

Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help me, I got a action replay disc but it only holds 50 codes.
After some searching i found out you can download a copy of dream explorer,
It holds many save games and also a save for the action replay with 400+ codes.

In dream explorer i copy the save file to my vmu, and after run the action replay.
But it will not load the new codes from the vmu, if i go to the option menu and go out again.
it overrides the savefile again.

does any one know if i am doing something wrong or can point me in the right direction?
