I have an ultra 160 scsi card, and man I need all kinds of adapters to make this card usable with psx and dc. Psx, the connector is SCSI1 (or 2?, from 1994, scsi 1?) The DC uses a scsi 2 50 pin.. I have zero experience with scsi. If anyone has a PCI card that can work with DC or tell me the type of adapers I need.. I have a $700 scsi card but can't connect it to shit.\ SCSI 1 to ultra 160 SCSI 2(dc ?) to ultra 160..
Sega recommended the Adaptec 2940U (PCI-to-Ultra SCSI) or 2940UW (PCI-to-Wide Ultra SCSI) controllers for use with the Dreamcast development system. Both controllers were tested and verified with both the Cross Products' Debug Adapter (DA) and GD-ROM Emulator (GD-M). Note: When if you choose a 2940UW, make sure the package includes a 68-pin to 50-pin external adapter.
I got an ISA SCSI card you can have for postage if it's any use to you. It's Adaptec with AHA-1542CF SCSI2 host adaptor. It has the bigger (Ultra100?) 50 pin IDE type connector on it.
You, the paragon of obscure console collecting through mysterious connections, have no access to something as "mere mortal" as ebay? I find that odd ;-)
Excuse Anti, for he went on a vacation trip, so he missed out on some events... Welcome back! Anyway, Assembler, I have an AHA 2940/2940U+ here collecting dust. It works and I'll throw in a 4gig HDD, as well as the cable. It's 50pin. PM me the address you want it shipped to and I'll have it out by Wednesday, Aug 17th.
