Dreamcast controller port 2 & 3

Hi there,
i know that dreamcast's controller port sometimes fail due to the resistors, but this is somehow different since port 1 and 4 works (2 & 3 do not). Tried to 'twist' the resistors as usual but it didn't worked. Should i replace them or can it be something different?

 

I don't think they are resistors, they are fuses, someone correct me if I'm wrong

 

i was given a broken Dreamcast once and some of the Controller Ports worked and some didn't. So after some inspection where the Ribbon Cable goes into the DC's motherboard it was corroded (both connector and ribbon). I cleaned it up and all Ports work now , check the Ribbon Cable on both ends and the connector.

 

Ok, i tried the ribbon but it is perfect. no corrosion, no broken parts, but no luck! ports 2 and 3 still not working.

 

don't forget to check inside the connector on the DC's motherboard and on the Port PCB. The connector on the MB may have dull solder connections you may want to reflow them. Also check Ports 2+3 where the Controllers cable go in for bent pins and dull contacts..........need cleaning with Deoxit etc.

 

I'll check those. And i'll add that the port were working, stopped working during gaming.
