Im talking to someone who is selling a dreamcast debug unit,Im not to familiar in the Dreamcast Dev scene. The pics I saw of the console looks like a regular ntsc comsole.Did Sega come out with a debug kit,if so does it play beta games and such.Any help would be great.
Ok the kit Im going to get is a Dreamcast Address Checker, model HKT-3020.Its misiing the pcb board and manuls.Does anyone know if this Dreamcast can play any debug gd rom title's,I know it plays retail games just fine.
It's just a modified retail unit pikkon. I do have "debug" machines, they have some slight changes to them but still need system disc.
I`ve got one of these units, they only check addresses as far as i can see. As soon as you place a GD-ROM/GD-R inside you get the menu asking which kind of test you`d like to run.
I've seen two different kinds of dc address checker. There's a modded retail with a PCB sticking out by the modem, and a more deluxe unit that's more integrated.
I'll get mine pretty soon,I will make sure to post pics of the internals if theres is anything unusual.
Interesting. For so many years these were never to be seen and now like 4 or 5 units pop up within a month!
Sweeet! Me wants one I wonder what happened to the ZIP DRIVE on ebay, the user havent tried to sell it again?
