Hi All, I just received my Dreamcast dev kit from LeGIt, and had great fun with it watching its tech demos and the diffrent boot screen's... but now i want to get down to testing my game on it without having to burn cd's etc... i know i need to by myself a scsi card for my desktop.. but im not running windows... anyone know how to get this beast working with a UNIX box? many thanks, Adam-James )
yep, all the tools that connect and operate the katana box are windows based, I am not aware of any UNIX equivalents I am afraid... Jollyroger
Yes i would also like to see screenshots of the tech demo's and boot screens and stuff, vids would be even better :smt040
Odd that it only comes with Win32 software, I remember reading in the dev docs that the Saturn SDK was available for Windows, Apple and even Sun unix.
When the Dreamcast appeared, PCs were powerful enough it didn't make much sense anymore to use far more expensive Unix workstations. The Saturn Mac tools were all art asset related.
adam-james: Maybe you can at least mount the dev box HD on Linux? edit: It should appear to the Linux box as a SCSI block device.
Check the hard drive for unrealesed games and beta's. Like bellok when he found warhead, viruta striker, and that Moto GP 500 game.
