Hey there all, Are there any Dreamcast coders floating about on this forum? Rene Hellwig started a Facebook closed group with the developers of Redux, Scourge, Tahi and Dynamite Dreams and would like more coders for the page to share troubleshooting and tips for developing on Dreamcast. The hope is we can have a database and supergroup of the 'who is who' of the Dreamcast scene.
I haven't gotten around to doing anything yet, but I intend to get in to development on the DC. I've dabbled with the PSP in the past and also ported a load of stuff (back in the day) to the PowerPC version of BeOS (which I know isn't a console, but is still no mean feat, given the crappy Metrowerks compiler you needed to use.) I spend my days writing back office software, so getting back in to writing and/or porting games would be cool.

To be honest, I have difficulties understanding why you would create a closed group for people using an open source project...
The _closed_ aspect. Why not share the problems they could have in targetting the dreamcast with everybody ? That would: - reach a bigger audience - be informative for others - possibly lead to enhancements to kallistios - give back to the community that has provided them an opensource solution for the Dreamcast
Good to hear I am excited about this. I have been uploading all SDK documents if needed would love to share my pastebin account info. Alot of stuff in there has helped me a lot.
as for me , i'm interesting in part of SDK that discover how works with gd-rom, something like functions and their parameters, it can explain a little what software interface is used for workinfg between program from one side and "gd-rom / g1-bus dma" from the other. more interesting if it exist some sort of low level or dissasembled code of Sys Calls for gd-rom or somethinkg like that
This may be old news but there is one developer who is creating a 3d engines that supports dreamcast. It is called Cubicv, here is a link to the site http://www.cubicvr.org/
