I just saw the other thread about the new Typing of the Dead release and was trying to remember: Besides the web browser, PSO, and Typing of the Dead, what other Dreamcast games/apps use the keyboard and/or mouse? I have four PS/2 adapters for my Dreamcast and I can't remember what the heck I was planning on doing with them. Is there a game that could support four keyboards, or support a pair of keyboard/mouse combos?
Typing of the Date and Sakura Taisen Online come to mind. As for the mouse - many more, predominantly some adventure (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and first person shooter games (Quake, UT, Outtrigger).
I think virtually all of the online games outside of Alien Front Online supported the keyboard for chatting. There was also a Japanese Evangelion typing game, where you would have to do typing challenges to advance the story as told through mini games (impossible unless you have advanced Japanese skills as you have to read kanji and type it phonetically). I feel like Sega Swirl might support the keyboard as a controller as well, I don't quiet remember clearly. I think I heard once, that Rez supports the mouse? Any confirmation of that?
Yes it does work in Rez. But if you have a PAL copy of the game you have to have a controller in port 1 to choose 50 or 60 hertz when the game starts, because you can't choose the hertz value with the mouse. After that, you can plug the mouse in.
