    Completely agree with angelwolf71885.

You dont even sound like you know what you are doing, not alone be able to do all these features you are talking about.

Sounds like Haunted found himself a good match.

ye - its not easy, but i dont care what you thinking about. after i finish PSIO for ps, i start make it for DC.
but how much time does it takes - dunno.

i wonder to know - what if you wrong?

To use an SD card, it would need to have a high speed rating. Not sure how high but a level 10 might do without breaking the bank. Found 64 GB level 10 SD cards for under $100. There is now a 128 GB one but it is very costly since it is still new.

SATA drive can be used with a standard PATA (IDE) to SATA adapter. Not sure about the USB ones. Maybe the FPGA will have support for it directly.

As for the CF to PATA adapter, nothing to it. CF cards use the same communication protocol as PATA with a smaller connector. The adapters are nothing more than a pass through adapter.

This one in the picture adapts to the 44 pin notebook PATA connector. As you can see, there is no microchips or anything on it. Should be possible to connect 2 at one time since the PATA ports each can have 2 drives hooked to them. There are 2 CF to PATA adapters out there dirt cheap. They are the same as the single in the photo, no microchips. These are straight pass through like the single adapter. Be a great backup feature if the FPGA running this has this dual drive function support in it.

dont worry, its not big problem install 2 ide ports on board. even 3,4 ...

they can share data bus / rd / rw and others. but only to wires CS_1 and CS_3 we have to do separately for each port

"not alone be able to do all these features you are talking about."

i'm interesting - what super impossible or unmadable things we(or me) are going to make here???

FPGA - just help make interconnect beetween difference interfaces. and those interfaces a well-known, with more specification. and there are more source codes in the internet for them...
who's fault - when nobody wants or CAN'T help me - only critics.
and what can YOU do for that project??? - only sitting and waiting... (its the FATE of the USER)

if you can't make it - so talk this about yourself.

you can't know about skills or capabilities other guys only by reading this forum))))
it's just your own point - and i dont care that you believe or disbelieve me.

if you can make better things, so show me - and i just stop my work, cause you've done it((( and i just shout up and hide away...

well? show me what you got?

also - who doubt, dont trust and has donated anything - you can ask us and get money back.

Regardless if you have skill or not to do brilliant things, it's still too early to request donations to the project, when nothing is shown besides an evaluation board.. just saying ;-)

I'm also doing an unrelated FPGA project myself (alone) and even though I have little money, Im not asking for donations and whining about people not beleiving and I have more work done that you guys have.. http://247server.net/~jorge/

ye- thats right. we plan asksome after show test one.
as for me - i make it cause i'm interesting by myself.

i see nothin bad in donation.
and YES - we just saing - it's a forum))

when i got anything i want to show i'll make it. i dont want to show raw matterials.

this topic is not about donations at all , or who's made more or less by itself

lets talk about dc-emu. or smth like that. i see you got cool proj. as i can get it emulates Seag MD on HW level,

some people ask about this feature in our PSIO proj. and i said that is theoretically possible make HW emu of old-school consoles.

so maybe you want to join to our team or maybe can talk about you device, and we can together do it for the end. and built this for ps1 (for example)... ?
or its you own closed project?

Nono, this isn't a sega emulator, it's a video upscaler (a scart to dvi converter).. And sorry but I can't join you because I'm busy with enough stuff already

This kinda technical stuff is past my knowledge but I hope you can do as your saying. If you get it all working with proof I'll donate.

I'm reading what looks like English but it seems to be arranged by chimps throwing magnetic strips against a wall.

    @cybdyn
Do you have a formation/diploma in electrical engineering? If so you'd shut most haters up; if not, enjoy your journey!

    @APE
I don't want to defend the guy on his "technical knowledge/capabilities" but this argument is rather poor APE. I usually agree with you, but not on that call.

The guy is russian, give him a rest with his english. I, for one, know an extremely brillient russian person who "sounds" just like a kid when writing english, because it's a very different "way" of saying things, but he cracked bleem! nonetheless! At least he's trying!

I agree he sounds childish, and I'm not sure either if he got the knowledge/capabilities to do what he claims, but the fact his English is weird is not a point in my opinion.

    My 2 cents,

    FG

Don't listen to the haters cybdyn. Just post the PSIO proof of concept when it's ready and ignore hateful trolls. It almost seems as if some of these people don't want it built. I guess they're just afraid of being outshown.

I figured cybdyn was a non-native speaker and I have the uptmost respect for anyone who can master a second language as well as he has (Russian is one of the harder languages listed by the CIA for a native English speaker to learn). I can understand written French/German/Italian/Dutch fairly well through pattern recognition as well as some Greek/Latin study but any sort of mastery is likely beyond me. As such I'd be a hypocritical dick to make fun of anyone for writing like cybdyn does given his status as a non-native speaker.

I was more referencing angelwolf71885's writing style. My brain divided by zero a few times there; my assumption is that he is a native English speaker given the grammatical structure and spelling.

    yes - i have diploma.

I came here just to talk to fans of the inventions for consoles and exchange views.

sorry for my English, i write without any help of translator, i use what i studied at school and uni.

well, I'll try to talk less - and more to show and do something useful.
and i decided to stop writing here and I will lay out my work on the project site.

Thank you for your attention, especially those HI-LEVEL-EDUCATED ENGLISH-SPEAKING SMART guys.

    Sure can.

Top tip, do more work and less talking with nothing to show.

Look in this very thread for how things should be done.
