    Hello again,

Just looking to get an idea of what these things are worth on the open market? I've got SCSI cables, active terminators and two SCSI cards. GD-ROM works on the HKT-0120, unable to test the functionality of the HKT-0400 though apart from verifying it turns on and is recognised. Includes SCSI hard drive (failing but mounts) and a SCSI2SD adaptor - seems to work properly with GD Workshop.

    Thanks again!

There was an auction on Yahoo a few days ago that ended at 146,501 yen (plus postage and proxy fees of course, I'm assuming they're heavy and would be about 15,000 - 20,000 yen to ship). Most of the time development hardware sold on Yahoo Auctions sells for a cheaper price than it would sell on eBay, so you can probably safely assume it's worth at least that much. The last working one sold on eBay.com that I could find ended at $1630 USD coming from the US, but there was also one being sold in Russia with a starting bid of $1300 USD (or a buy-it-now price of $2300 USD) + roughly $200 USD shipping. It ended twice with zero bids.

As for the HKT-0400, I seem to recall them not being as expensive as one would expect, selling at around $300 USD on eBay maybe a year or so ago (not too sure though, don't quote me on this).

Another thing - can you do me a favour and never say "sea-gah" ever again, Australia always manages to get every Japanese company's pronunciation wrong. :p

That sounds like the HKT-0120 hasn't shifted too much in value since I picked it up - same for the HKT-0400. All good things! Thanks!

Ohhhhh, to be fair we were force indoctrinated by Sega commercials back in the day! It's the corporations that want us to fight amongst ourselves rather than putting the fight to them! We've been programmed wrong!

    When I joined AG, a hkt-0120 was about 400$ and the 0400 maybe 150$...

Sadly I couldn't afford it back then, and now I could, but the prices increased way to much so I can't...

Yeah I watched that auction closely last week, it was very competitive with a lot of snipe bids. If you can demo a dev kit working/playing a game, it adds a lot of value. Yahoo vs eBay prices are a bit unpredictable. With the convenience of proxies, sometimes I think enthusiasts are more closely watching Yahoo these days; I've seen some collector items sell on there and not sell on eBay.
Personally I check my Yahoo Japan login homepage almost daily on my iPhone just for suggested items that I might not otherwise pickup from my alert terms. The other week I got an SGI company watch for ¥300 ...
