    Hi Guys,

Anyone got any links they can share or contacts i can talk to?

In the words of a great Ben Elton character "I have a cunning plan" .... but i need help to make it happen.

    Thanks!

There isn't a homebrew webbbrowser. What that guys did, was change the layout/graphics of the PlanetWeb/Dreampassport browsers. They translated the Dreampassport to english too.

They've done a very nice work, but the "core" of the browser is still the same.

No, there isn't. I'm sure you're talking about XDP, that is the modified PlanetWeb/Dreampassport.

The major problem in building a homebrew browser for the Dreamcast is the modem. The homebrew modem driver is still very early and buggy, it still doens't work right. But there are some guys working on it.

Not to mention writing a whole windowing system/interface from scratch, which is boring as hell :Hangman:

Some years ago there's a talk inside SOA about releasing a "mini-devkit" for free (or a little fee), so everybody could make games for the Dreamcast.

This idea was abandoned, license problems I think...

    Hiya!

I think it's a very interesting project. Adam James, are you going to develop a whole new window system or just fix bugs?

I wish you much good luck with this job. Salutes ;) .

um, not sure i wanna say just yet... but its gonna be a big project.

i want to get hold of the r11 SDK, so i can take a look at the lan examples.

Anyone got r11, or know where i can get it?

to be honest though, i think im just going to use the modem, that way, if i get my licence from SoJ, i can give my software away for use on a standard retail DC, so people dont have to go buying a bba on eBay for £100 (which they wont!)
