Hello, I recently purchased and received one of these controllers.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170683981565

The rumble pack doesn't respond properly. It appears to sometimes not get the response to start or stop rumbling. It will rumble after it should (without stopping) or just not stop rumbling. I want to open it to see if something is out of place but the holes are small and I want to see if the seller is willing to replace it first.

It works fine with rumble off, but that defeats the purpose of the controller. Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: I managed to open it up. It is to old and cheaply made to find the problem. Maybe one of the caps is dead? Oh well, at least the rest of the controller works.

EDIT 2: Tried playing SA2 City Escape. Everything that causes vibration made it vibrate non-stop. By the end of the stage it started working fine (except for some speed boost pads). Maybe it is an old part like a capacitor that is old and letting the controller warm up fixes it. Odd.

EDIT 3: Day 2: The seller got back to me and provided more options than originally expected. Apparently, the company no longer has a Dreamcast to test the product with nor do they employ anyone who would be able to. Because of this I am aloud to return the item for a replacement or full refund and also can get a second one for free (just pay shipping). Because of what I learned yesterday, it makes more sense to get two since it will also most likely be damaged. Replied back and will now wait for a response.

EDIT 4: Seller responded stating that the shipping costs $6. The item it self is only worth a mere $3.99. They offered to send the replacement for $6 or refund $4. Since I bought it with a since discarded Visa gift card, I countered with a free Item they sell worth the cost of $3.99 (including shipping). http://www.ebay.com/itm/170681399259

EDIT 5: They accepted the counter. I will be receiving the item linked above shortly. They really do have great customer service and interesting items. Solar panels for GB, leather case for GBP, radio for GBC, TV tunner for GBA, ect. I am happy to find out they have great customer service as well.

    EDIT 5.5: Day 3: Nothing.

EDIT 6: Day 4: Received the Micro Control stick. It is a very solid piece of plastic that does exactly what it is supposed to do. The joystick is stiff because it is just a piece of plastic that pushes the d-pad under it. It was free though, and that is all that matters.

EDIT 7: Day 5: After using the item for several minutes, I have discovered that left is really stiff when compared to the other directions. This further proves the uselessness of my free item. Well, it isn't so much free as it is a compensation for my useless rumble. I still want to buy the GBC version of this part for some reason though. I also want to buy a radio they sell that attaches to the side of a GBC or GBP like a parasite. They also have a leather case for your GBP. It appears non compatable with the joystick part though as you can not close the top part. Don't worry though, some day I will have a GBC or GBP that has so much stuck onto it that it looks worse than the SEGA Genesis with all attachments.

EDIT 8: They also have a TV tuner for the GBA with all the same features and usefulness as the one for Game Gear. They also sell a DIY kit for a TV out on the standard GBA. Buy both parts and we can use a GBA as a antenna TV that is too outdated to get any channels. We can also plug a SNES with a Super GB in it playing a GB game. That way, man can finally play a GB game on a SNES displayed on a GBA being sent to a TV with what will most likely be the worst input lag ever devised. It will be a great day for man.

EDIT 9: What was this thread about again...? Oh yeah! the controller is still broken. Only the rumble though, probably the capacitors but little chance anyone will ever confirm this.

Don't worry about it. It is more noticeable now anyway with the updates 5.5, 7, 8, and 9.
