hey i have a dreamcast game called buzz lightyear or something and my dreamcast won't play it. I bought it use and it worked for about 3 days then one day noop...nothing...so i had it cleaned and it worked...for about two day then the same thing. So then i bought a bran new one sealed and it worked for about 3 week or 4 then yesterday BAM! Nothing it wouldn't play. has anyone ever heard of such thing.,..:disgust:
This is a common problem. As GodOfHardcore said, it might be warning you that the gd-rom is about to die... Or not... Dreamcasts are very picky. I mean extremely picky. There's some kind of black magic involved in booting games on cd, and once the laser is old enought it's pretty much random... My own trick is to move the lens all to way in either direction before booting (be careful not the touch the lens with your fingers), it works quite well with my console, but it might not work with yours. Glad you figured out where to ask for help, just one thing, try to avoid ALLCAPS TITLES, it makes it sound like yelling. Welcome aboard. FG
