can anyone point me to the story behind the japanese orange Dreamcast box with the Sega Director all over it ? was it the first or any special release ? is it rare and worth keeping ? tried to find answers to those questions, but just found some pix over at dreamcast gallery, but no info :-( thanx
There were two releases with the SEGA Director on it. One with the back full of smaller sized pictures and one with just one big image of him. Those DCs aren't rare, they're very common. As far as I know, that was just the normal box untill a point in time when SEGA decided to change the box design into these white standard boxes like in Europe and the US. I got a question as well. I found a boxed Dreamcast on yahoo (already a few months ago) which was very pricey (about Y15'000) and there was nothing special about it (2 controllers, 2 vmus) except the box: Can anyone tell me whats so special about it? HKT-3000, regarding that HKT-3020 and 30 were PAL and US Releases, was HKT-3000 the very first release?
I didn't save the text but I know the content: Yes, it was an unused one, no clue about the version though. But anyway, I really never saw that president-box (including the different functional design) in a white shape, so I thought that'd be the reason for reaching more than 15'000en.
