I got me a Dreamcast some week(s) ago that happend to be NTSC, so now when I got the 220->110V converter I plugged it in and noticed a silver sticker on the left side of it that says "PA BRAND", anyone know what this is? Googled for it but didn't find anything. It most likely is nothing..
I had the same silver sticker on my US Sports (black version) DC....never knew what it was either..mine was brand new, so not sure myself what it was. Here's a pic of it:
i like the black dreamcast without the Sega Sports logo. it might have only been released in japan but i'm not sure...
Yes a black version called the "Super Black" version was released through Dreamcast Direct in Japan.
I had the exact same question over at another forum. Is your console modified to be region free by any chance? I figured it might have something to do with that since mine is (it originally was an NTSC-J console), but couldn't be sure. I've never seen it on any other console. Mine doesn't say "PA Brand," but it is a silver foil sticker that says "NOTICE: WARRANTY VOIDED If this seal altered or removed" (seems to be unofficial because of the grammatical error). It's covering one of the four main screw holes.
My DC is packed away in storage so can't easily get to it to test it. Interesting to think it might be region free tho!
