Dreamcast PROMO CDs

I brought a few CDS for dream cast a few years back and just put them away

never really looked at them till today

and found they are promo CDs

what would they be worth if anything


all the items... Sleeve, manual and Disk are in 10/10 condition as I have never used them

infact I didn't even know what they really where except a few game cds

 

You maybe able to get £8-10 each if they are really tidy. Those two aren't really the rare Acclaim promos, I think Spirit of Speed and F355 Challenge are more sought after.

 

I didn't think they where rare

but indeed a nice find

think I will keep them as part of my collection

and yes they are immaculate condition

I got these by accident at a flea market

but how do these actually get out into the wild and into circulation

im curious

 

Most of these discs were sent to retail stores as samples of the final game so staff knew what they were talking about when selling the title. Acclaim's ones I believe were the only ones that came in that style box with artwork, most other companies just sent out their samples in slim jewel cases without artwork.

Some other circumstances can be magazine review copies (albeit less likely) and some were used in demo kiosks, though those were mostly demos.

The photos have been taken down as it's an old thread, but you'll find photos of Dreamcast white label promos all over the Internet. Do a Google image search. They're pretty boring to look at!
