You know how in shows like Malcolm In The Middle 10 years ago they would sneak in advertisements by showing the characters playing Dreamcast games? Well, I was watching old Simpsons episodes this weekend and noticed something from one of my favorite Sideshow Bob ones and was curious your thoughts. This episode "Day of the Jackanapes" which first aired/premiered on February 18 2001 (I know towards the very end of the Console's lifespan) had a scene where Sideshow Bob tells Bart to watch him spin a quarter to hypnotize him, he then drops it, and sets up an arrow spinning a red target. As he is spinning, it zooms in on the target and its basically a giant Dreamcast logo for 3 seconds. Is this on purpose or not? Couldn't find any info on the net. Let me know. Thanks! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Jackanapes
I think I remember the one you're talking about, and I think it was intentional, but more as a joke than as product placement. I'll have to watch it again to refresh my memory.
The first episode of The Shield had a Dreamcast in it, and that was made in 2002 when the DC was already dead.
damox, thank you so much for the picture!!!!!!!! Coincidence or not, I still thought it was really neat!!!!!
