dreamcast region change mod help

hi this mod here

I wanted to know

does it only change the region of the console so it plays the region games its been changed to (original disks)

or does it change the whole bios to the specified region


I ask this as I have a jap console that I want to set to PAL but don't see anypoint in doing that if the Japanese writing stays the same

as a bios mod would then be better

 

BIOS doesnt have anything to do with setting the region, only checking what is set in the flash. Region free bios ignores the check, so anything will play.

If you change the region to PAL, it will play pal games. If you want to change a jap Dc to english, just change it in settings

 

oh.. .

how do I do that as I cant understand the Japanese and not used the DC in so long to remember it off by heart


btw I changed the region on it to pal and changed the bootlogo

also installed a modchip aswell

so its all good for multi region now

just need to get that jap off

 

I got it

changed to English

now I have a truly PAL Hello Kitty Console

region changed to PAL

Blue Bootlogo

220V PSU fitted

Mod chip fitted

language set to English

Just now to do that battery mod and buy a Hanzo as I don't want to hack the case
