Why is it im getting a big black boarder on my right when games start.... If its the dreamcast menu or the dreamcast logo it takes up the whole screen but as soon as a game starts i get a black boarder on the right.

And yes its on the RGB socket and its an official scart lead. (Also it dint do this on the other tv).

try switching between the auxiliary channels of your Tvc... some are real RGb others not... and the same applys to scart entries too...

So it works in the dash, but not games? The dash is 50hz, maybe you're TV is having trouble with 60hz.

That's if your picking that for the games.....

Well its a jap console but it does the same with games from any region. ( it works in the dash, in the SEGA logo of games i think even in some FMV start squences) then it reverts back to the big bar on the right and maybe a smaller one on the left.

I think it has to do with the Dreamcast RGB signal. All the dreamcasts here in holland were sold with an RGB scart lead, and all of them output an image with a black border at the side of the screen. You can try to get in the service mode of your tv, and adjust the overscan or geometry.

Paulo, it's a fault of the TV. I know just what you mean. Sometimes if my TFT doesn't self adjust my Dreamcast image is off to the left. Luckily monitors can be adjusted with the press of a button. Back when I lived in the UK my Saturn (Japanese NTSC) gave the same problem. Luckily my Toshiba TV (28" surround sound) had an option to move pictures over about 5 cm either way. Probably the TV is getting confused by the NTSC signal like mine used to.

Sony TVs do this with pure scart signals
