It's my birthday today and I got this brand new never opened Dreamcast Arsenal Pod delivered today. Damn heavy and had to lift it off the lorry with the driver! Came packaged up exactly as it left the manufacturers - Valley Group - in 2001. (it's my second POD.....PODs are bad things to collect...they're huge...) http://www.dreamcastgallery.com/arsenal/first.jpg http://www.dreamcastgallery.com/arsenal/second.jpg http://www.dreamcastgallery.com/arsenal/third.jpg http://www.dreamcastgallery.com/arsenal/fourth.jpg http://www.dreamcastgallery.com/arsenal/fifth.jpg
>>Very nice I be that set you back a few quid. Would you believe a mere 51 quid!.... >> Did the pads come with it or are they your own? They come built into the pod. There's also cardboard inserts in the controllers saying 'Dreamcast', where the memory controllers should go. It comes with light bulbs all fitted. Just plug in and switch it on. Still wonder about the other St Etienne and Sampodoro(?) pods...never seen pics of them but I know they exist....
I've always wanted a US Dreamcast pod, with their cool little t.v., don't know where to find one though..... And how much is 51 quid in dollars? Edit: I guess that's around $102
>>I've always wanted a US Dreamcast pod, with their cool little t.v., don't know >>where to find one though..... Must admit the US one looks damn cool.... Out of interest, the US company that made the US pods is now out of business. The UK company which made European pods is still in business and still has the dreamcast pod on it's website. >>And how much is 51 quid in dollars? >>Edit: I guess that's around $102 Yip..roughly right... Any US/Canadian readers have a pod?
Or 2 :-D The only US Dreamcast display I've seen was this one big ass thing on Ebay, but I don't have enough room for something like that ATM. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4303&item=8119636363&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V#ebayphotohosting Holy shit just while I was typing this I saw one on Ebay. I highly doubt I'll win it but it's worth a try.
The big one you mentioned hasn't sold for ages... The normal US Pods come up frequently on ebay...if you don't get this one, there will be another along shortly. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62054&item=8186828623&rd=1 I suspect for $299 you'll win it. Carriage costs alot which I think puts people off.
The one I was looking at is only at $10.50 right now. I probably wouldn't go higher than 200 because shipping from there to here would be costly. The one you showed me is nice however and I like the fact that it comes with a system and 2 games.
