Hi All, Does anyone have one of these? I know that they are super hard to find, and also pretty pointless since (as far as i know) they are used to make gd-r's boot on a retail dc.. but you can get round that by doing some funky hack to the console.... also, why is it called a system 2 disc... is there such thing as a system 1 disc? its model number is hkt-09... id also be intrested in knowing what the numbers in between htk-01 and 09... i know hkt-06 is for blank gd-r's, and htk-01 is for the katana dev boxes.. anyone care to fill in the gaps? )
Hi, Is called DC System Disc 2 because there was a System Disc for Sega Saturn too (Saturn has 2 system discs, one black and other red I think) so I suppose the System Disc for Dreamcast has the "2" because that. If HKT-012is the Dev box, HKT-04 is the GD Writer.
thats intresting... so do the katana and dreamcast boxes have diffrent HKT- numbers? id love to get hold of a system 2 disc... be cool to see whats on it, as it must be more than just somthing you could burn to a gd-r or cd... else we would see copys of it around.
a seller on eBay has for $500usd however if you have a dev box there is 100% no point whatsoever in buying 1 and btw the us dev box is actually HKT-0120 not HKT-01 like it says on the front and the GD writer is actually HKT-0400 NOT HKT-04 :smt023 I have no idea what the model # is for the soundbox or debug unit though
