dreamcast vga cable

I want to play my dreamcast on my computors lcd monitor, however I am a cheap bastard and I dont want to buy a cable. (25 bucks is too damn expensive) so is it feasible for someone (me) with a little soldering experience to make one themselves? I would also appreciate a link to some instrusctions if it is possible.

i will keep that in mind if I cant find anywhere that offers instructions to make your own. Did you make it yourself or was it purchased?

However, It needs a DC Connector, VGA connector and a particular chip, so if you don't have those lieing around, Its probably easier to just buy the cable

 

i bought it, is just like the official one "which i have" but is made out of transparent plastic.
