Dreamcast white label?? 56k WARNING! Hi, was just wondering if anyone knew the value or rarity of these. My girlfriend bought me a replacement Dreamcast for my birthday and it came bundled with these 3 'full games'. Obviously they're white label and pre-production but I've never come across them before despite collecting DC commercial releases for many years. Any info would be great. The games are Toy Commander, F1 World Grand Prix and Crazy Taxi (not pictured.)
They are the standard press discs that Sega Europe sent to reviewers and the like, this way they had little resale value if a reviewer decided not to review the game and turn it into dinner money by flogging it to the nearest cash convertors. They are quite common like the equiv PS2 press discs, although certain titles are harder to find then others.
You have been collecting DC stuff but never come across these? wow, I have even picked some up in Game in the bargain bins. As Jamtex has said, there's not a lot special about them, they were used for review and store display use, so they are pretty common. Some are rarer than others, but for the most part they are just a curiosity.
Ah ok cool. No I've never come across one, demos yes, full releases no. When you spend your time looking for commercial releases, things like this slip your vision.
These were also sent out to game stores (at least in the UK) for employees/shop demos. Very common indeed (check ebay)
