    There is some impressive shit going on here O:O

    Thanks to all!!

    @S4pph4rad thanks for your tips.

    @Radaron your script works beautifully.

    @yzb3785936 I've patched Shenmue 2 with your code, good bye black bars!!!

    Could you provide some codes to directly path the cdi's?

    I love this community. ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ノ

    Ditto; Thanks @yzb37859365! That saved me from having to do it the hard way.

    Codebreaker equivalent of that is:
    01160ff4 0000e100
    Add it before or after Esppiral's Alternate widescreen code to omit the borders & have a crash-free widescreen experience.

    I don't know if this is against the rules of the forum, but could someone share this thread to Neogaf? There is a lovely Dreamcast/Shenmue threads there and I don't think they are aware of what we are doing here, I can't post there since I do not have an account, but I am pretty sure they will bee delighted to know they can play Shenmue/Dreamcast games in widescreen.

    I should have been more specific, I meant codes to patch the widescreen to the gane in the same fashion you did with Shenmue 1 and rhe BB for Shenmue 2 :)

    that change is for the translation or for use in real console. Now works fine.

    Codes that start with 02 are for the real console. Codes that start with 2C are for DEmul.
    The codes will only be different for different versions of the game. When you apply the translation patch it's still based on the Japanese version of the game, so you can still use the Japanese codes.

    Hey, do you think it is possible to make Vigilante 8 widescreen? My DC is still out of service atm, but I would be interested in seeing how the game looks.

    Jesus! Please don't use that imagehost ever again. You can just upload your pics on this site.

    Posting to say that you guys are doing magnificent work here! I'm going to look into this and see if there's anything I can figure out, though I only have the real hardware to test on which I'm guessing is a lengthier process.
    From comments made by you guys on here has influenced my purchasing decisions on buying Dreamcast games (Aiming for the ones that VGA, widescreen and 60fps where available). Had no idea my PAL Sega Rally 2 was a bad port compared to the Japanese version so I've got that on order now :D

    While I figure out the process from the posts you guys have made (I have read the whole topic already but am still trying to wrap my head around the code) I may as well do some requests as others have done. But in all honesty my main reason for posting is a big thank you to you guys for pushing so hard on this, and that I am keenly looking forward to more ^_^

    Does anyone know the validity of (US) Quake III Arena's code on SegaRetro as it isn't mentioned in this thread?
    020FCE04
    3F400000

    I'm getting a copy of the US game shortly so if nobody else can I will verify it then, I'm just surprised it's not come up in this thread.

    Any chance of codes for;
    Ferrari F355 Challenge (PAL) - in-game widescreen is disabled on VGA
    Railroad Tycoon II (US) - The only VGA compatible version of the game
    Ready 2 Rumble (PAL) - Round 2 is patched, curious to see the original patched.
    ReVolt (PAL) - I know Esppiral has already mentioned this one, just showing my agreement.
    Super Producers (JP) - Just an oddity, I'm not really fussed on this one.

    EDIT: Codes found
    Chu Chu Rocket (PAL) - Esppiral
    Dead or Alive 2 (PAL) - Esppiral
    Project Berkeley (JP) - Only a video
    Rippin' Riders (US) - Esppiral
    Royal Rumble (PAL) - Esppiral
    Seaman (US) - Esppiral
    Suzuki Alstare Extreme Racing (PAL) - Esppiral

    Thanks again, especially for the Phantasy Star Online (JP) widescreen code! The game looks incredible now, the way it should always have looked. I know it doesn't yet work for ver2 but it's well worth checking out for those who have/can get a copy of the title.

    I've created the most detailed compilation of this research yet. I don't understand Wikis and can never fathom how to add to pages (I've tried before in Wikipedia and am always told, despite logging in, that I haven't the privileges), so I've created it in a Spreadsheet format that I'll update as and when codes are found and altered.

    I've highlighted areas in yellow that I can't verify, or haven't been verified by anyone on this forum (Codes found on other lists and not posted in this topic), I've put codes with notes in olive green and anything which makes a game unusable (Such as VGA Incompatible) for best practice in red.

    Each game is listed with region (and version) code, VGA compatibility and it's corresponding codes.
    This includes WIDESCREEN codes, HUD FIXES, NO CLIPPING/EYEFINITY, 60FPS, 60FPS SPEED FIX, BLACK BAR REMOVAL. Each person who discovered the initial code is credited after each code, and a creditation list is at the bottom of the sheet.

    As you can see, we have a pretty good list already, as well as several games in multiple regions to make it easier to track down region coding for other titles. I'm going to try Dead or Alive 2 (PAL), Jet Set Radio (JAP) and Sonic Adventure 2 DEMO (JAP - which surprisingly is not region locked and plays on a PAL console without Codebreaker) but by all means others keep working on these too as I am uncertain of my success.

    A final comment (Sorry, I talk too much), if anyone can confirm the additional codes, regions and VGA compatibility of the remaining titles I'll update the listing and upload it for everyone to source from.

    EDIT: Thank you Gromber, I actually didn't know it was a video. I'll have to wait to get a legit copy of the game before testing the amazing waters of Shenmue once again.
