Drive LCD contrast voltage above (below!) specifics.

Hello everyone,

I was thinking , does anyone ever tried to drive an LCD more than -19/-20 volt to increase the contrast? is it possible? I'm thinking about the DMG-01, I was wondering if replacing the old driving circuit with a new one with more current and a little overvolt could help not only the switching speed of the crystall cells improving the shadowing effect but increase the constrast...
