    Driver help for windows 8 64bit usb to serial HL-340 as I have a new computer but have a pic start plus programmer. any help would be great I have googled it but cant get it to work I get error This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    You want to get a USB -> serial that uses a FTDI chip, their drivers are top notch.

    They cost a little more, but they dont suck.
