I have a ps3 and some fuckwit knocked it off the table.

System won't eject or take a disc.

I disassembled it and it seems the tracks or the complex
mechanism in the top is out of alignment...

Anyone know how to set it correctly?

    Fixed it.

Open the drive by removing the metal exterior shield.

Expose the black top of the drive.

    Remove the small black screws.

Be careful of the tiny cable! Open the top.

Facing the drive, there are two sliders: one left, one right.

Push the right one towards the front of the drive as far forward as it will go.
Now pull the left one as far back as it will go. You WILL hear popping as
    it jumps gears.

    Put top back on.

    Put screws in.

    Test. Work? Rejoice!!

Put silver cover back on, reassemble ps3.

I would add the addendum 'be careful not to twang off any springs located towards the front of the drive, as they can be a bit of a bugger to get back on.'

Glad you got it fixed! :)

OMG i hate ps3 drives!!! stupid custom hardware! the key to replacing the lens is to MAKE SURE THERE IS NO DISC IN THE DRIVE before taking it apart. ;) i learned that the hard way lol
