    Hey all

I've recently cam across a few extra DS game cards(standard retail ones), more specifically the game Sprung, and i was wondering, what can i do with them?..Build a small dog house perhaps?. or can i hack one, possibly make it into a flash cart?....anything other than playing them

    nope, its not that easy.
if you want to play backups, you can use one of these, a passthrough adapter and a gba flashcart.

You can always hook some hard foam or rubber wheels together and power them with a Dremel or two and create a DS card launcher of DOOM!!!

Or you can try and poke and prod them and figure out a better way to dump the ROMs or something less useful to the greater good of society, like a DS card flinger of mass death! And other stuff....

I wish there was a non-official way to write to official flash carts (both GBA and DS). Would make life a whole lot easier for some folks out there...

If you could find circuit diagrams for a DS card you could possibly take it apart and connect it to a USB cable so you could run DS games off of your computer (with some fancy programming). I don't know what I'm talking about; just thinking creatively.

Lol, thats what i was thinking, crack it open, find the rom, remove the rom, somehow figure out the pinouts on the rom circuit, and wire in either a usb or a sd card reader...of course non of this would work because technology defies logic....

Its your logic that defies logic, technology's logic is logical.

Well the ds carts have some kind of flash memory on them , and it should be writeable .

Wouldnt it just be an issue of jumping the apprpriote points to flash new data on the chip ? I would assume they are hardware protected .

Does anyone know the specs on the memory they use in ds cards ??

Edit: also where is the best place to buy a pass key flash card combo (sd preffered)??

Hmm.....perhaps, reading the posts in the forum would do you some good...

That's crossed alot of Ds gamers minds before, though for some weird reason it doesn work, hence why a flash cart for the ds, still needs a legit game for authentication purposes

Why? he could sell the games and raise enough money for at least a SC flashcart.

But hey, if he wants to crack the game, no prob.
