I need to replace the upper screen in my DS Lite but I can't find a decent guide to take the damned thing apart. I've gotten the upper case opened and gutted, but I don't want to force anything in the lower section for fear of breaking it. Are there any tricks to taking this thing apart? **EDIT** NEVERMIND I FOUND A GOOD GUIDE ON YOUTUBE. Anyone ever try a mini usb mod though. Not sure if I should try it while I've got this thing open.
What happens with the upper screen? My second one started blanking out when the screen was tilted more than 45* and Nintendo replaced it because it was still under warranty.
It's a cracked LCD. I've already replaced it but I've got one damned ribbon to plug back in and it's just so small I can't get it. I've got to find a miniusb connector and then I think I'm going to mod it to charge via usb cable. It's an incredibly simple swap out.
