I got this DS lite with a PSP 1001 that I bought, it was all $50, so whatever. The DS had no charger or stylus but it had three games. I finally got a charger and charged it all of the way. The green power light comes on, but I have no audio or video. My question is, is this common? Is there a common fix out there for this? Or should I just save myself the trouble and pitch it. Because it was basically free.
Could be a flashme brick, just change the wifi module (bios is on that). If it works, you can hot swap to reflash the broken one.
I thought maybe it would be something in the wiring. And if it's not the wifi module? Anything else it might be?
NO JOKE, I had a game in, just hitting buttons, then I ejected the game. Realizing the DS was still on, I was like OH SHIT and I turned it off. Then I held down all of the buttons and turned it back on (for shits and giggles) and it worked. I've been screwing with it for the last 17 hours to no avail. Fucking weird. I'm going to try to recreate my results, maybe it was just a one time thing. *EDIT* Yeah, as soon as I pressed anything it froze and jumbled stuff up on the screen. *EDIT#2*It seemed if I put the cartridge for the DS game in after its on the DS main menu screen it freezes. But if I start it with the cart in, it recognizes it and the screen doesn't freeze. Still wonder whats wrong in the background that's been causing these random things.
Many people bricked through FlashMe, just to remove the health warning screen If it's not flash me, open it up and check the connections if you haven't done so already. Could be just a bad cart slot actually.
I don't think it was FlashMe, it was a little kid's. Probably is a bad slot, it seems to be causing the issues with the cartridge in. I'll clean it up. Thanks for the advice everyone!
