http://www.nanostray.com/ I'm really rather intrigued by this - granted, I'd love to see a vert shooter on the DS use both screens for the gameplay, but the graphics are definately stunning for a handheld game of this genre. No longer will Gradius Gaiden be my sole shooting companion when I go on long trips! BTW, does anyone else get an R-Type vibe from that main ship design?
It DOES look brutally sweet. But isn't ShinEn the company that made those Iridon 3D games? They LOOKED great and then weren't very playable. I really hope this one is very playable, though, beause it does look great. The lower screen is somewhat wasted, though.
Wow! Looks pretty amazing, but like XerdoPwerko said we'll have to wait and see how it actually plays...
Looks luvvllyy Wonder how you use the touch screen? just tap at the enemies Bloody fingers would fall off!!!
I just looked at the website. If this turns out to be as nice as it looks, I may be picking up a DS soon.
Yeah, ShinEn is the one responsible for the Iridion games, which is why I'm a bit reserved about the whole thing, as the Iridions were total crap. Apparently (and I believe they say this on the site if you look ) The touch screen will contain status displays, and the player will tap icons to switch weapons. Not my favorite use of the DS' touch screen (replacing the Start button) but the game looks promising enough that I'm willing to try it.
Dear god! I was about to post the EXACT same response! You just saved me the effort of typing it all!
Wow, very nice !! I sure hope it plays as well as it looks. Can't wait for this one. I hope it comes to Japan because the Irion 3D games sure didn't. Yakumo
Yes it does look interesting, although I really need to see firsthand gameplay before I plunk down my cash. I hope this game does in fact perform well, and sell well. We need more shooters for handhelds, an area that is lacking in all gaming these days. ^_^_^
Eh, it's been pretty hit-and-miss on Dreamcast lately too - Chaos Field, for example, I thought was very subpar, and as much as I want to like the idea, Trizeal doesn't look to appealing either.
