I hope this is the right section for that. I went to the gamescom today (http://www.gamescom-cologne.com/) and saw some interessting stuff like DS-flashcarts and a PSP Testing Tool . And even DSis hooked up to TVs (is-twl-capture or debuggers i guess?). The systems had 2 more applications on their main menu, the first is called "NandFiller" and the second is "TWL-Menu" (i'm not 100% sure on the second one). I could not start or take pictures of them because there were lot of staff walking around and watching the systems. (+most of the DSis were hooked up to a giant LCD so everybody could see if i messed around with them <.<) I was unable to start those applications on other DSis which weren't hooked up to a TV due to parental controls. Do anybody have an idea what these 2 applications do? (sorry for any mistakes. my english isn't perfect ray
The systems are to show DSi on a larger screen. I am lucky to have one of the DS ones. Nandfiller I would imagine is to manage the downloaded apps on dsi, to change them out , unlike connecting to nintendo on the retail system. Nandfiller probably does that locally without need of the servers. TWL menu? Who knows what options are in there.
Nandfiler probably lets you install channels off an SD card; TWL-Menu is probably the equivalent of the NDEV Menu on a Wii (which is to say, a simple text-mode menu for setting basic configuration on a development system). (Not to belabor the obvious, but TWL is the codename for the DSi...)
