I start this thread to collect solutions for the DTL-H2500 Devkit. (I forgot the H in the topic :redface: can an mod/admin assist please?) At this point i dont know what todo. First i start PS Dev with the H2000 ISA Boards. Setup was np take me 5 mins to get compiler and boards ready to run with WinDebugger and so.. Well i buy years ago an H2500 with H2510 from lingjr. Since this time i try to get this Devkit up and running. What did i try? I try to use 3 kind of pentium 2/3 mainboards (Asus, Gigabyte, Fujitsu) and an Pentium 1 166... Allways i got problems to use "run" my compiled code. Decicons with h25drv on DOS or H25bios nothing work at all :shrug: As OS i use Dos 6.22, win3.11, Win95, Win98 SE :banghead: You can belive me i try to use any bios setting and I/O. Nothing helps. I can use resetps, run games with the H2510. I can complie. I try any revision of programming tool software or library... Now at this point i think the H2500 is broken :gravedigging: Allways i got no working connection to the H2500. But of corse i want to validate this before i give up with this pice of hardware. I run I/O c800 with IRQ11 and no conflicts. Now i ask for help from H2500 users. I know some user here familiar with it. Hope someone can help me OH: Like i say, the H2500 is an love-hate relationship. I like to switch to the H2700 OH:. But before i need sure that something is wrong with the board. Or i run creazy . I think the only hope is an user running an H2500 system, test my board with an working devsystem. It takes time of corse, and im ready to pay for testing! But i dont give up to get this part of hardware working. Please help me guys. thanks
I solved my problem :dance: The issue was the Gforce2 AGP card... I switch to an ISA Tseng ET4000AX and now the h2500 is up and running. Thx to unclejun!
Congrats on getting it running! The H2500 is finicky as hell. I got mine running after days of testing different MBs just to discover that the video out probably is busted. :-(
I don't quite remember what I did actually. Sounds like a fun weekend project to dig it out and have a look though. Watch this space.
I look for an technical documentation about the H2510 CD-Rom. Still have some problems with the drive. Pluged H2510 on the h2500 shows no reaction of the drive. Also the h25bios commands freeze. Unpluged works everything very well, i can use H25bios and run .cpe with correct output. I remember first time h2510 has function, you hear an calibration of the drive on pc startup. But now the drive is like dead! I use other power plug and switch the ribbon cable, run resetps 1 with h25bios. Can i switch the drive with an scph-100x one? Or another conflict...? edit: The drive is working perfect in an retail psx.
