    PS-X Development Kit

I found one another model of the card - DTL-S510B. I think that it's from first devkits of PSY-Q (1994 year). Can you tell me more about this card, such as box consists, rare and what this card for?

This hardware model DTL-S510B is from one of first development kits (PSY-Q that was distributed by british company Psygnosis in the first years of PS life)...

I guess it's an interface card for the dtl-h500 target box.

I have a milk crate full of those. Never found an official doc or even the driver for it. You have the driver?

It does have a striking resemblance to the CD Emulator card. If you compare the the two you would notice that the CD emulator just has a few more chips on it. Everything else is in the exact same position. From looking at the picture I can tell the following information about it.

    IRQ is set to 15
    DMA is set to 7
IO Address is set to 308.
SCSI ID is set to 7.

One limited possibility is that in the early developer boards didn't have the 25 pin emulation connector so instead you had to hook to the external side of both this card and the Sony CPU board. Remember the first official PSX development board was the DTL-H2000 which did not have an internal CD-ROM connector. It could also be a CD-ROM convertor board that converts the native PSX CD-ROM commands to the standard SCSI CD-ROM commands.

Of course without drivers and doc it simply is just a nice conversation piece. :icon_bigg

This board looks like the standard PsyQ interface board. It can be used with the PsyQ PS1, MD, 32X & SNES devkits, I used to have all these (recently sold on EBay) and I used the same card for all of them. They use something called PsyBios as the driver which comes with the PsyQ SDK for all these kits and needs to be run from DOS.

Can it be used with the Saturn blue card as well? I still have one of those, never been able to wire it up
