I was reading up on a transcript of some Q+As to SCEE and found mention of Tools that did not have DVD/CD drives - they were on loan only to studios and were all recalled at the end of March 2000. Has anyone seen one of these? I presume they all would have been recalled and dismantled as they were only ever on loan. How would these have function, just to test small bits of code? Or would they have had a CD/DVD emulator fitted like the SN Systems DTL-T14000? (When was that released?) to test full titles? Hmmm...
