So, We've seen plenty of solutions for resetting the password on a PS2 Tool- any idea how to do it on a PSP Tool?
Kinda stumped- neither Administrator/Administrator nor User/User will grant access to the web ui.

I'm hesitant to try using the system init buttons on the front for fear of other issues, but is this the way to do it?

System is running 4.05 currently and basic debug functionality tests out fine.

    Thanks!

Also, I see a "Hard Reset" button on the board, and there's a coin cell that's removable, as well as what appears to be some sort of soldered down battery? (right between the 3 flash protect switches)

Oh well.. looks like I accidentally did it anyway- The System INIT button while booting does it.. but it also wipes off loaded firmware.
I had the front off, and mixed up which button was which when i was trying to reset networking.

yeah- but it appears that even though the documentation of system init says psp kernel should be unaffected, it appears to have been wiped or similar...
Was able to upgrade to 1.5, but looking for some sort of newer firmware- and advice on where to start?

The version of 1.5 i installed seems different from the 4.05 that WAS on here in terms of testing features as well...

Well you are stuck until you find a 4.05 firmware update.

If I remember correctly PSP updates until either 4.00 or 5.00 had to be done with a disc...which requires parts of the SCE devkit software....which to my knowledge has never been leaked anywhere.

Why this is important is you need to get to either 4.00 or 5.00 before any newer firmwares can be applied. So let's say you find a 5.50 firmware update. You can't apply it because your PSP won't accept it from the memory card.

My testing tool is stuck at 3.5.2 for essentially the same reason.
