It's been some time since I'm using 2 monitors either with my desktop or laptop, I found it really useful for programming, doing some design stuff, etc.

The thing is that when I'm using a full screen application, such as a game for example, the whole thing fucks up and I end up with the program in one screen and the other with all the colors messed up and displaced icons.

I've tried some software found through Google some time ago, but had no luck.

    Any suggestions?

I don't pretend to use the full screen applications extended to both monitors, but at least to be able to use it without seeing crap on the other monitor.

    Thanks

Nvidia video cards usually have software with your Video card that lets you do it.

This is actually the expected behavior. With something like a DirectX game, "full screen" may only be considered on the first monitor. The display for the second monitor will be undefined and could be just about anything. The only ways around this are:

    • Use a full screen application which acknowledges a dual monitor output or can use the dual monitors in a single screen mode (e.g. two 1024x768 monitors showing an effective 2048x768 resolution)
    • Turn off the second monitor
