I have a Dual Shock 3 controller and it's in really nice condition but the left analog stick will turn slowly. I've had the controller apart to see if I can fix it but nothing stands out. Anyone know how to resolve this? It's not a deal breaker but can be annoying in some games if your thumb slips.

    Thanks.

Replace the stick with a new one. This is a common fault with Sixaxis pads (and DS3, but just less often)

That fixed it but the weird thing is, the stick I took off hadn't rounded out on the inside so I have no idea why it was spinning. Seeing as they're pretty fiddly I didn't completely disassemble it to have a good look.

    Anyway old sorted now. :)

The rubber top on my controller has oiled or the glue has oozed out over the top of it. Need to replace the sticks...
