Got one of these the other day

Got the latest software version 2.41

But doesn`t seem to work with M-storm or Resistance...don`t have Drake`s as at a freinds

Part of the official site says these games work and then another part doesn`t list them

    Any definative answers?

motorstorm does work and has done for ages (although I have had a Japanese machine, Japanese Dualshock 3 bought on day of release and Japanese copy of motorstorm)

i think you need updates for the games, too.

I'm probably one of the few who got the DS3 for the better Bluetooth connectivity, but disables the vibration...

Some people have no problems with the original sixaxis controllers, others like me have a whole lot of dropout issues. Every game that I would play (which was only a total of two since the PS3 launch) would have dropout issues every few minutes. I never had a complete controller shutdown like others, but I would have button repeating and wandering characters way too often. The new DS3 does not have this problem since they (apparently) had to increase the Bluetooth output to compensate for the rumble.

how does the battery life compared? I know it's twice as heavy and potentially more thermally active thanks to the rumble motors (not to mention the battery drain of rumble).

finally, would you buy me one for my birthday?

Battery life seems fairly normal, even a good game playing session all day doesn't drain the battery out, but I do recharge every night.

But sadly I don't love you enough to buy you a DS3.

My old launch sixaxis controllers drop out all the time, my DS3 never does.

It's a problem not everyone had though.

Neither my SixAxis or DualShock 3 have any problems, but my Wiimote disconnects all the time. Good thing I have not touched the Wii for months.
