If it's Nigerian spam to my Gmail account I try to get a lengthy non-copy+paste response, just wasting their time really. Gmail has pretty decent protection against the bulk c1alis/pen|s gr0wth pills kind of spam (reckon I've had less than a dozen come into my Inbox in the three or so years I've been using it, which is fairly astonishing) so I'm not too worried about my email address ending up on some bulk spam list. I'm obviously on quite a few already anyway, since my "Spam" folder has 748 emails in it at the minute, and that's only for the last fortnight, as it gets automatically purged by Gmail beyond that.
Maybe you better stop typing your email-adress on websites like: "Get free S3X-P1CZ - just write your email here" :dance:
it depends on the mail provider. i once registered a hotmail address. i didn't use it, but it received tons of spam. i use my gmail account for everything and get almost no spam, about 5 spam mails per month.
I think it depends more on the name. If it's (name).(surname)@whatever.com then it's bound to be an easy target - it doesn't take long to combine a list of names together and spam them, after all. Anyway, why would anyone put their email address down for free sex pics? It's not like porn is hard to find...
I sometimes get the "lottery" version, but that is not the Malaysian version. But from China , funnily enough . But hey, it is spam. So I just delete the shite.
